Power Balance and Mode 6 not working correctly.

    Hi, I used my maxisys on a 03 Mercury Grand Marquis previously and the missfire count and Power Balance function both worked. Now when I connect the Mode 6 show's no missfires even though you can feel it. If you switch to Power Balance it gives me a message that says.

    There has been an error in Engine Synchronization. Verify CMP(Camshaft position) and CKP (Crankshaft Position Sensor) circuit operation.

    There are no codes in the computer in any module. It runs so that kinda rules out the Crank Sensor and other than the random missfire it runs ok. I doubt there is a problem with either circuit.

    Has anyone else run into anything like this?
